Hop&Eat is a mobile application for iOS and Android that helps users find nearby restaurants and bars, view ratings and reviews, and save their favourite places. The app uses artificial intelligence to generate review summaries.
We request access to your GPS location to show nearby restaurants. Legal basis: Performance of contract / legitimate interest. Location is processed in real time and never stored on our servers. You can revoke access at any time in your device settings.
If you register, we collect your name, email address, optional profile photo, and authentication provider (Apple, Google or email). Legal basis: Performance of contract.
We store your saved restaurants and preferences (language, theme). Legal basis: Performance of contract / consent.
Payment data for Premium subscriptions is handled exclusively by Apple App Store or Google Play. We only receive subscription status confirmation via RevenueCat. Legal basis: Performance of contract.
Hop&Eat uses AI (Anthropic's Claude API) to generate automatic summaries of restaurant reviews. This feature:

Hop&Eat is a mobile app and does not use tracking cookies. We use local device storage (AsyncStorage) solely to save your session, language, and theme preferences. This data is never shared with third parties for advertising purposes.
Some providers are located outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards (EU Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions).

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising purposes.
Hop&Eat is not directed at children under 13 years old. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal data, contact us at support@hopandeat.app to have it deleted.
If you are an EU resident, you have the right to: access, rectification, erasure ("right to be forgotten"), data portability, objection, restriction, and to withdraw consent at any time.
To delete your account and all data: Profile → Delete account in the app.
To exercise any other right, contact us at support@hopandeat.app. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD): www.aepd.es.

Si eres residente en la UE, tienes derecho a: acceso, rectificación, supresión, portabilidad, oposición, limitación y retirada del consentimiento en cualquier momento.
Para eliminar tu cuenta y todos tus datos: Perfil → Eliminar cuenta en la app.
